2024 WCWS: No. 2 Oklahoma clinches fourth consecutive national title

For the fourth straight season, the Oklahoma Sooners are the Women’s College World Series champions.

The No. 2 Sooners are the first Division I school to win four consecutive softball national titles thanks to their sweep over No. 1 Texas.

Oklahoma came out of the gate swinging, beating the Longhorns 8-3 in Game 1. In its 8-4 win in Game 2, Oklahoma dominated on offense early as Kasidi Pickering hit a home run to left field giving the Sooners the lead in the bottom of the second inning. Their offense kept the momentum going and brought in three runs in the sixth en route to their championship victory.

We break down the WCWS.
