The 34-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Brisbane club worth a reported $600,000 per-season, returning to the Broncos after a turbulent stint at the Dragons.
Hunt’s previously played alongside Walsh at Origin level, and the experienced playmaker’s certain he can help the fullback regain his form that led the Broncos to the 2023 grand final.
“I’m really excited to be playing with a guy like Reece, he is a freakish talent with speed to burn,” Hunt said to Code Sports.
“I’m looking forward to working on our game plans with ‘Reyno’ (Reynolds) because between us two old heads, we can steer the ship around and bring the best out in Reece and the rest of the side.
“Reece has unleashed himself pretty well the last few years, but any way I can come in, get him more involved in the game and get him more quality ball in better positions, I think I can help him with that.
“We (Hunt and Reynolds) can be very beneficial for the side and I’d love to help the younger guys take their game to another level, Reece included.”

Walsh endured a host of injuries, whilst also being sidelined from Broncos duties due to Origin commitments in 2024.
The 22-year-old only played 14 NRL games last season, but should Brisbane make a deep finals run, Walsh will need to be fit and firing.
Meanwhile, the gun fullback was at the centre of a pair of off-field incidents which included a phone being broken in Bali and a photo surfacing of him with cuts on his back on a hospital bed.
However, Brisbane officials cleared Walsh and Ezra Mam of any wrongdoing.

Now, for Hunt, his focus is solely on winning a competition and he believes the Broncos have a big chance of winning silverware in his final two NRL years.
“I definitely think I can help a club win a comp,” he said.
“I feel like I have something to offer and I’d like to think I can contribute in a big way and take the Broncos to finals footy. If I didn’t think I was still up to it, I don’t think I would be here and clubs wouldn’t want me to be here.
“A premiership really would cap off a great career – a strange career at times – but I want to lift that NRL trophy for the Broncos.”
