Lawyer Tony Buzbee has filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z and disgraced music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ accusing them both in a case of sexual assault of a minor at an awards show after-party in 2000.
For the unversed, this lawsuit against Jay-Z is not a single case, but a part of a series of civil cases that are filed against Combs by Buzbee.
Who is Tony Buzbee?
Raised in northeast Texas, Tony Buzbee is a name reckoned to be well-known in courtrooms. He comes from humble beginnings and currently is known to have won billions of dollars in settlements for his clients. In 2009, his firm fought for 10 workers who faced a health scare because of a chemical release at a refinery in suburban Houston and won a $100 million settlement. His profile of clientele includes politicians, like Paxton and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
Tony graduated from Texas A&M University and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Later he went to law school and founded his own firm.

Tony Buzbee’s involvement in the legal case against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Reports suggest that Tony Buzbee’s firm is representing more than 150 people, including both men and women, who have come forward and alleged Combs of sexual abuse. His clients, who come from different nooks and crannies like New York, California, and Florida, have claimed that their drinks were spiked, and once they were under the influence, unspeakable things were done to them by Combs.
According to Sean’s lawyers, Buzbee’s claims and accusations are nothing but shameless publicity stunts with the sole motive of getting huge sums of payments from celebrities “who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.”
On Sunday, Jay-Z alleged that Tony tried to blackmail him by getting him to agree to a legal settlement. This settlement is said to be over allegations against Jay-Z and Combs raping a minor in 2000.
“I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I have seen your kind many times over… You claim to be a marine? Marines are known for their valor, you have neither honor nor dignity,” Jay-Z mentioned in his statement.
On the other hand, Tony Buzbee through a social media post on Sunday mentioned that he will neither be bullied nor intimidated.
“Sunlight is the best disinfectant and I am quite certain the sun is coming,” Buzbee said.
