That’s according to CODE Sports, reporting that it may be weeks until the five-eighth returns to pre-season training with his teammates at Red Hill.
Mam collided head-on with an Uber driver carrying a woman and her four-year-old daughter in Brisbane on October 18. He was later charged with drug-driving and driving unlicensed.
Three days after the incident, Mam checked himself into the rehab centre and has spent the past four weeks there.
The period spent in the wellness facility reportedly cost the marquee playmaker more than $100,000.
Mam is set to face court in Brisbane on December 16 and the investigation is reportedly closed, with no further charges to be laid. Mam has not entered any pleas.
Broncos powerbrokers have given him permission to spend time away from pre-season, meaning he’s unlikely to return until after the club’s Christmas break.

Technically he is free to take the field, with the NRL yet to hand down a No-Fault Stand Down finding or any sanctions.
However, the NRL Integrity Unit will be closely monitoring his court case.
Internally, Brisbane bosses believe Mam could be out of action next season for a minimum of two months, while he is also potentially facing a hefty fine.
In his absence, the Broncos are reportedly meeting with veteran playmaker Ben Hunt, hoping to secure the free agent’s services.
