Sunday is a massive game for Glasgow Rangers

This is to the few posters who are having a go at us who have criticised Philippe Clement (PC)! It seems like after a couple of great results and performance, that all is rosy again, and we were all wrong.

Yip, performances are like night and day recently, but if we’re being honest, that wouldn’t have been difficult as we we’re so poor! It’s far too soon to think we’ve turned any corner.

Has PC won anything this season? Has he beat the Tims yet? Are we top of the league? Are the Tims the only team above us in the league? The answer, of course, is no! Let’s wait and see how things pan out over the seasons before we start having a go at those of us who want/wanted him sacked.

This frustrates the heck out of me! After a couple of really good performances, and results, some on here lose it and start having a go at anyone who dare criticise even though we have won the square root of nothing.

Why don’t some keep their powder dry until we actually do something?! Trust me, you will only look foolish if nothing comes of this, like every other season (55 aside) over the last 12 seasons.

Yes, the signs are positive, but we have got to be cautious here, because beating Kilmarnock or drawing with Spurs, will mean hee haw if we don’t beat this mob on Sunday. There’s nothing wrong with being supportive or confident, but let’s try and keep a lid on it.

If we win on Sunday, PC finally beats them, and we retain the League Cup, I’ll be on here later that night after I get home from the game to take my punishment (If we win, God knows what state I’ll be in 😁) . I would love nothing else than have a very large slice of humble pie served up to me with a coffee pot of ‘i told you’, so java to wash it down with, and it will be well deserved.

Sunday is a massive game for us in so many ways, and this could be that turning point every single one of us have been hoping for. Let’s not underestimate how big this game is! PC will know this! The players will know this! The board will know this! And us fans know this!

A victory over them and we get our hands on the first piece of silverware of the season. PC finally gets the victory he is desperate for, their “invincible” season is in tatters, and just for that day, Glasgow is blue again! But, even though everything I have listed would be amazing, a victory over them would start planting seeds of doubt in the minds of a Tim, from manager, players, supporters, the whole lot of them, and that is paramount. Just think what would be going through their minds when they come to Ibrox on the 2nd January?! Can you imagine if we won that game too?!

Sunday is massive! Let’s keep a lid on it, stay positive, support our club, and if we do it, celebrate the life out of it – I know I will!
